Arturo Torres

Family will recieve friends and family, Sunday evening during the visitation from 6p.m.-8p.m. in Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Martin Pina officiating. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. Arturo went to be with the lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018 Arturo was born September 22, 1944 in Petersburg , Ohio. Arturo was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He married the love of his life, Alicia on March 22, 1966, in Lubbock, Texas. He was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife Alicia (March 25, 2011). His parents Octaviano and Maria Torres. His two brothers Blas Torres and Jose Torres; Sisters Lupe Quezada and Carmen Lopez. Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Jennifer Torres Valderaz and husband Daniel, and Denise Aguirre and husband Hector; three grandchildren, Kimberly Velgara and husband Jose, Annalesa Valdez and husband Daniel, and Hector Aguirre II; five great-grandchildren, Zaden, Zariah, Zackary, Jacob and Natalie; his brother Octavanio of Lubbock. His sister Pauline Segura, Julia Proa, and Santos Soto. The Aguirre and Valderaz family would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the staff at Bender Terrace and South Plains Hospice of Lubbock for their care and assistance.
