Antonia Aguirre

Visitation for Antonia “Toni” Quintanilla Aguirre, 66 of Tahoka will begin on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 11a.m.-9 p.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel-Tahoka with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. the same evening. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel -Tahoka with Emilia Garcia officiating. Burial will follow in Nevels Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

“Toni” went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was born on October 29, 1954, in Richmond, Texas to the late Johnny and Maria Quintanilla. Later in life on July 31, 1971, Toni married Nick Aguirre in Tahoka, treasuring fifty years of marriage. Toni worked as a nurses aid for numerous years for The Lynn County Hospital before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, sewing, and dancing to music. Decorating was one of Toni’s favorite hobbies as well, she always made sure to attend home interior parties. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whether through cooking for them, giving advice, or praying for them Toni always made sure her family felt loved and were cared for. Her family will always remember and cherish the memories they have with her.

She is preceded in death by her father Johnny Quintanilla; a brother Robert DeAvila; a sister Mary Trejo and a granddaughter Alexis Deshay Aguirre.

Survivors include her husband Nick Aguirre of Tahoka; two sons Martin Aguirre of Tahoka and Nickolas Aguirre and wife Madylin of Lubbock; three daughters TerryAnn and husband Jaime Perez of Burleson, Naomi De La Cruz of Tahoka and Nadine Aguirre of Tahoka; her mother Maria Alvarez Silva of Denver, Colorado; a brother Johnny Quintanilla of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
