Adan Hernandez

Adan Hector Hernandez passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Covenant Medical in Lubbock.  Rosary will be held Wednesday at 7 PM at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated for Mr. Hernandez at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Father James McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home and Chapel in Lubbock.

Adan was born April 5, 1961 in Lubbock to Manuel and Anita Hernandez.  Adan was known to many of his co-workers as ‘Donny’.  He worked in construction for many years specializing in framing.  He also worked as a foster grandparent with LISD at Waters Elementary.  He enjoyed numerous hobbies specially playing darts, bingo and most of all the watching the Dallas Cowboys.  His life was surrounded by his family whom he loved very much.

He is survived by his parents Manuel S. Hernandez and Anita Perales Hernandez of Lubbock, sons, Adam C. Hernandez and Michael Lee Hernandez of Lubbock, daughters, Sabrina Ann Ybarra Chavez (Frankie) of Fort Worth and Cristal Hernandez Ortiz (Jaime) of Lubbock; one sister MaryAnn Torrez (Hector C.) of Lubbock, ten grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his brother Alberto Gonzales Jr. (2008) and one nephew Hector H. Torrez Jr. (2014).
