Janelle Gutierrez

Janelle Nicole Gutierrez was born November 9, 1995 in Lubbock.  She graduated from Canyon Lake High School in 2013 and enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing and doing arts and crafts. The bible describes a virtuous woman; “she is clothed in fine linen and purple” and this fit Janelle perfectly as her favorite color was purple and she never left the house without making sure she was dressed well.  She was a loving mother to her children, an amazing daughter to her parents and a good sister to her siblings. Her smile and kindness will be forever missed by all who knew her.

Although she never gave up fighting, her battle with cancer finally ended on the morning of February 8, 2020.  She passed from this world and into her father’s arms surrounded by her family and those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jayden, Josiah and Jayda Gutierrez; her parents, Salvador & Bridgette Guerrero; her boyfriend, Matt Romero; one brother, Isiah Gutierrez; two sisters, Jazmine Sanchez, Saraya Guerrero; her grandparents, Luisa & Gilbert Trevino, Juan & Elisa Guerrero.

Services for Janelle will be 10:00 am Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Encounter Grace Church with Pastor Eleazar Lara officiating. Burial will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held 7:00 pm Friday, February 14, 2020 in The Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:00 am the same day.
